Around & Around He Goes

The top layout was super fun and pretty easy and I love how it turned out. I used the Walk in the Park paper collection for this as well. I used my 2" circle punch and punched four of my favoite pictures of Justin on the tire swing at the park. I then used a few of the different pattered papers that came with the kit. I also used the 1" heart punch and added them to some of the circles to add dimension. I used a few other supplies from my stash including American Craft cardstock letters and a few random buttons. The flower that you see was made from ribbon and glue dots and was super easy to do. The petals came from the sticker sheet included in the paper kit.

April Showers May Flowers

First of all let me start off by saying that I love this picture! This layout is part of my submission for the Echo Park Fresh Faces campaign. I used the same collection that I had on hand, The Walk in the Park Collection. I am still trying to get used to not having a scrapbook store close by. For this layout I used a Jillibean Soup corrugated letters and American Craft cardstock but the rest of the layout I used the Echo Park paper kit. I just love the banner sticker that came with this kit. I made two layouts and a card and I still have a ton left so you definetly get your money's worth. Anyway I hope you love this layout as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by!

Echo Park Fresh Faces

As promised I am posting the the projects that I have completed for the "fresh faces" design team call for Echo Park. This is a card that I created using "the walk in the park" collection. It was an easy card and I was able to complete it in about 15 minutes, give or take a few interruptions by a certain 2 year old. I used American Craft card stock and all of the paper and stickers were part of the Echo Park paper kit. The twine is from The Twinery. The letter stickers are from Sassafras.

I am working on some layout and card designs to submit to the Echo Park fresh face design team call. I will post the finished products just as soon as they are complete. If you are a traditional scrapper or if you are a digital scrapper you should check out their website as well as their blog for great product and design ideas. There newest line splash is so fun and will be great for scrapping all of your summer play dates or vacations. I will keep y'all posted on the outcome.

This little boy is growing by leaps and bounds. He most definitely has the terrible two's! I was not prepared for this at all. Justin did not go through this! Brady is into everything... I have been able to take a shower by using the bathroom in the boys bedroom and I would just lock the bedroom door and I would know that he was contained and safe. Well that is not the case anymore...the little bugger now knows how to unlock the door. He is not fun to take to the store to say the least. He cries the entire time if he is in the cart or the stroller because he wants to be free, problem is he does not walk. He has one speed and it is to run. All of these things make Brady who he is and I love him to pieces. I can't imagine what my life would feel like without him. Yes it may be a little more quiet but I will take the noise and chaos. Love you little boy!

This layout was made with a Studio Calico kit. I have no idea what month it was from because I have a large collection of kits which I have yet to touch. I love using them when I don't want to have to think. I can just grab a bag and my trimmer and be on my way. Nice and simple just the way I need things to be from time to time. Love this picture...it was maternity pictures that I had taken when I was prego with Brady.

Finally a New Post....and a new life!

Well it has been such a long time since I have posted anything, life has gotten in the way again. So much has changed since I've blogged. We are back to NY, "home"! I am still trying to get used to being back and I miss SC weather so badly. I am a southern girl at heart although I never mastered the y'all thing.

Well here we are back in NY, we stayed with my mom for about 6 weeks and finally 2 weeks ago we just got our own place. We are settling in and trying to get organized. Justin started a new school when we got here which had me scared out of my mind. He did great and is getting adjusted pretty quickly. He did break his wrist on the playground after being there for only 2 weeks. He just got his cast off after having it on for 3 weeks. Kids heal quickly, so I was told.

That is 2 broken bones and 5 stitches so far. Lets hope that is going to be it for awhile.

Thanksgiving came and went so quickly. We spent the day with my sister and now its on to Christmas. Justin is besides himself with excitement. Tink our Christmas elf made his arrival this week and I am hoping that the little people in my household take note and are on their best behavior. Oh the things we do to our kids.

Here are a few fall pics to check out because it seems as if I missed an entire season. I am trying to redo my blog a bit because I want to focus on family as well as my scrappin'!

1st Grade

I can not believe that Justin is in the 1st grade! While I was driving to school to pick him up on the first day I vividly remember Kindergarten like it was yesterday... I know it was just last year but I feel like time is flying. I want to remember as much as I possibly can which is why I am a memory keeper. The reason for this blog and the reason I scrapbook are all things I do to try to remember everything I can about my kids childhood. I also do it for them...I want them to know that the things they did in life mattered even when the were only 6. So this is Justin's 1st grade photo. New school supplies, now back pack, new clothes and new sneakers and one happy kid.

Brady at 18 Months

My intention was to do a post on a monthly basis about Brady and all of his new "tricks", but that obviously did not happen so I am going to start now at 18 months and try my best.
What is this little dude up to?
-He will eat anything you but in front of him (today he ate refried beans and rice).
-He is into everything except the things that are meant for him.
-He loves the Ipad and he can actually work it.
-He loves Barney and Elmo.
-He loves music and he can really dance good. He gets that from me. Ha Ha
-He loves to be outside and if I open the front door he will take off.
-I almost don't want to say it, but he is a great sleeper. I put him in his crib wide awake and he goes off to sleep.
-He loves to scream and run around when I put the vacuum cleaner on. Its quite funny.
-He still has those crazy toes.
-He is a great baby or I guess he is a toddler and I am lucky he is mine.

Justin so desperatly wants to learn how to skateboard and he tries his best and he keeps working at it, no matter how many times he falls. He gets back up and tries again. I just may have the next Tony Hawk on my hands. I know that what ever he tries he will be able to accomplish. He is stubborn and thick headed just like his Daddy....ok maybe his Mommy too (but I don't admit that easily).

Justin's new thing is Silly Bands! He loves them and has received many many packs from his Nannie and Pop-Pop! He also got more on a recent trip to NY from his Grammy. He has recently counted them and has 548. I was proud that he could count that high. Someone is ready for first grade. This picture he is modeling some of what he received and then we realized it was not such a great idea because they were cutting off circulation. What will be the next craze and I so wish I could come up with something like that.

Ok Ok I know I am a bit of a slacker these days and since I know all of our family pretty much follows us on facebook I tend to drag my feet on this. Anyway Brady had his first birthday and it was not that big of a party which I felt bad about because we just don't really have anyone here besides a few good friends. I do not think Brady cared much about anything except eating his cake and that he did! He made quite a mess and it was so cute.

Justin was a sweetheart on Christmas morning! Of all days that Brady has decided to sleep in he decided that Christmas morning he was going to sleep longer than usual. This almost put poor Justin right over the edge. When Justin could not take it anymore we woke Brady up and went downstairs to discover that Santa had come to our house. Justin was very concerned about what Santa brought Brady and he even stopped opening his gifts to help his baby brother. It was sweet and melted my heart. Brady has a love for Elmo and this was a gift that was sent to him by his Nannie and Pop-Pop. It is so cute and he just loves it! This Elmo blows kisses and says cute little things and Brady loves it. Mr. Brady gives kisses now and he is quite stingy with them, but with Elmo he loves to give kisses.

OK Y'all I am back. I had a slight absence from my blog because I was working on a Christmas gift for the grandparents in our lives and did not want them to get any sneak peaks of photo's.

So this specific photo was from Christmas Eve and while Brandon was wrapping some gifts upstairs and Brady was sound asleep Justin and I did our usual ritual of reading his Twas the Night Before Christmas. This time we did it a bit differently. This year we had to buy Brady his own copy of the book so Justin read me a copy and I read him a copy...many times. Ha ha! His reading was more by memory but he is still recognizing words on his own. So we decided to use the timer on the camera and take a few pics of ourselves. This is one of my faves!

Poor Justin, Really I do have pictures of him too in the pumpkin patch I have just been to slack to post for some reason. I am not the picture Nazi that I used to be. I mean I try to be on it but when the second baby came into play, I am always preoccupied with changing diapers, or feeding someone. Look at this "Little Pumpkin"!

This is the cutest little "PUMPKIN" I have ever seen! This was Brady's first trip to the pumpkin patch and it was a fun one. I basically just plopped him in the middle of all these pumpkins. He didn't know what to make of it. It was too cute. He also took his first hayride. Along on his journey was big brother Justin. It amazes me that no matter how many times Justin does the same things over and over he still gets super excited. He has been to the same pumpkin patch and on the same hayride every year since we have been here, and he had as much fun this time as he did the first time. Believe it or not I had to put this little Monkey up in the tree. He wanted to climb this tree but he was afraid to get up there by himself. I put him in the tree and then snapped away. Here is what you need to know about Brady at 8 months

1. He how has 2 teeth that have just broken through, and he loves to have his gums brushed.

2. He is a flirt and a half. He will play shy when you talk to him, but he will wait for you to talk to him again and if you don't he will fuss at you.

3. He says Da Da which I know that he is just babbling but Brandon insists that he knows what he is saying.

4. He has sticky fingers for sure and anything in his reach he is going to grab for.

5. He is still not sleeping through the night.

6. He is still not taking an 8 oz. bottle (which is probally why he is not sleeping through the night).

7. He loves his big brother and loves when he gets home from school. His face lights up.

8. He loves yogurt.

9. He is just starting to get some hair, and it is so soft.

10. He is the light of my life (besides Justin of course).

I can't believe what a big boy Justin is, 6 years old and I still

remember the first time he went to Chuck E Cheese. It is scary for me to realize that the time is going by so fast and there is nothing I can do to slow it down except try and savor every moment I can of his little life. There was a time in his life that he hated any characters and now he can't wait to see them. He was waiting for Chuckie to come out and you can tell by the smile on his face just how happy he was.

Justin's Birthday was a jam packed weekend of fun. This collage of photo's was taken on his actual birthday. The first photo is with his Birthday bear which we built at Build A Bear on his first birthday and he only comes out for birthdays. The rest of the pictures are of Justin opening his gifts. After he came home from school we let him open the rest of his birthday gifts. We then went to dinner with our friends at of all places "Chili's". Justin's choice. We enjoyed dinner and a giant cookie cake. Dinner was followed by mini golf at Frankie's Fun Park. The next day was Justin's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. This is the first day of Kindergarten photo. It was a bittersweet day and it was almost hard to believe it came so quick. I had been sick with the stomach flu the whole week before Justin started school and was trying to prepare myself for the big day. When it came Brandon, Brady and I drove him to school. With his back pack in hand he was ready. He had a little crackle in his voice when I said goodbye to him. He wanted to cry but wanted to put on a brave face and he did. He was very brave and I was very proud. I have such a big boy.

Dick's Last Resort

Dick's Last Resort is a theme restaurant where the servers and staff are allowed to be mean to you on purpose. It was great. I had been there once before right out of high school with some friends and I had told Brandon about it and we wanted to take the kids there for lunch. Thinking about it we shouldn't of clued them in but we did. It was fun. They give you home made hats with different sayings on them and here are some of ours. OK for some reason I had the hardest time uploading pictures the other day, nothing was happening. I hope that this time I have more luck. This is the cutest picture ever of the boys and Daddy in the ocean. Brady seemed to like it right away. This was the calm before the storm literally. We maybe were out for an hour and almost instantly the rain clouds came in. Justin, Jordan and I were making a giant sea turtle in the sand and Dillon came and said that Brandon wanted to know if he should start to pack up because it was going to rain. Before we could even make it back to our spot it was pouring on us. NOT FUN, especially with a baby and all of his stuff. I also forgot how much I hate taking half the beach home with me. Anyway this is a cute pic before the rain came.

OK so it has been quite a while since I have posted any information about my family, and pictures. I have just been busy with life I guess. I have been taking a step back from the camera and enjoying the moment. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in capturing every moment I miss them. Anyway we spent two great weeks with our boys (all of them). Time goes so fast, because it feels like yesterday that I was preparing for them to arrive. The dynamic in my house has changed and it is still not back to normal. Brandon is the saddest I have ever seen him and my heart breaks for him. Brandon you are a great father, I know that you want to be with the boys on a full time basis and it is very hard for you. I know that not everyone understands why we are here, but it is best for the time being and I think Dillon and Jordan know how much they mean to you and me! Ok I went off on a tangent for a minute and had to reel myself back in but here are some great shots from a GREAT WEEK!!!!!!

Saluda Shoals Splash Pad

On Wednesday we decided to check out a new spot at the Saluda Shoals Park. Its a great place for kids and is a minimal cost to get in which we love! It has a splash pad, which is a place to run through tons of different sprinklers and keep cool. The park also has a huge playground, horseback riding, kayaking and picnic area. Hopefully we can check out some of the other things as well.

MYRTLE BEACH

Our trip although short was jam packed full of fun. The kids had a great time. I think even little Brady had fun. He loves to be outside where we spent most of our time and he just strolled in his stroller and kicked his little feet. He stayed up until 9:30 on Saturday night and you would never have known he was there.

Justin rode on the big boy rides because he was just big enough to make it. That's right folks he is 42". He rode on the pirate ship and the spinning caterpillar ride. He also built his own remote control car at Ride Makerz. I don't know who really wanted to do it more Justin or Daddy...anyway it was fun for both of them and something they could do together. We did hit the beach for a little while. Brady slept through most of that but Justin splashed like crazy. He wanted to look for shells but once he got in the water he forgot all about that. We also hit the outlets which was more for me than anyone. The kids got some cute clothes though. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe and Senor Frogs which were both tons of fun as well.

All in all fun was had by all. I can't wait to go back with Dillon and Jordan. Justin was making a mental list of all the things he wants to do with his big brothers.

This was the cutest exhibit at the Children's Museum and Justin got to be a Weather Man for the day. It was so cute you could actually see him on the T.V.

I am so lucky to be able to experience a summer full of adventures with Justin before school starts. I know there are days where I get frustrated because that boy can talk up a storm, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. He is the best kid in the world and I just know he is going to do great in Kindergarten. Until then I am going to enjoy the carefree time I am so privileged to have.

Lexie is such a good girl...I was hesitant to say the least about getting another dog because I missed both Mia and Beckham. OK so we have all been sad since Mia and Beckham got adopted by some friends of ours because they did not seem to get along well with their new little brother. Well Brandon really wanted a new puppy and we were able to adopt an adorable Chocolate Lab. We took her home and wanted to see if she and Brady would be friends and they love each other. Lexie already seems very protective of him even at the young age of eight weeks. When Brady cries she is the first one to check on him. Our trip to Edventure Childrens Museum was eventful to say the least. First of all when we got there Justin went inside the GIANT BOY which was a playground that was 3 stories high. I thought I was going to have to take Brady and go in after him. Then we explored the child size grocery store, checked out the giant operation game and explored the fire truck. It was so much fun. A question though....What Genius decided it would be a good idea to put a water area smack dab in the middle of the museum? So Justin decided to play and get soaked even though I told him not to, which led to us leaving early and Justin riding home naked. (Using only Brady's blanket to cover up). Oh and when we got home I sent him upstairs to get clothes and he came down with his swim suit on. It's going to be a long summer...LOL

Justin decided to take all of his Webkinz out today and line them all up, which I have to say was pretty amazing. We had 69 in total. He actually entertained himself with them for a long time, and also entertained Brady as well.

Well if you can believe it I actually forgot my camera today. It was another zoo day today, but we did have some new friends to go with today. Melissa's family came to visit from Michigan and we all spent the day at the zoo. Mario is 6, Nick is 4 and Nina is 2....then there is Justin right in the middle. They had a great time! At lunch all the boys sat in one side of the booth and me on the other with Brady (I was out numbered to say the least). It was a whole new adventure with new friends and we had a great time but guess what? I forgot my camera....I know me forgetting the camera can you believe it?

So at five years old Justin honestly spends 10 hours a day sleeping and the entire rest of the day TALKING! He honestly makes things up to talk about, it is the funniest thing ever. I don't always feel that way because sometimes I wish I had some ear plugs. He asks the funniest questions....some of which I recently ignored. This included "UM Mom how did Brady get in your belly?" I just pretended I didn't hear him and changed the subject and thankfully he forgot. Thank God!!! I am bracing myself for many more questions that I do not want to answer, not yet anyway. So these are some pictures I found from last year when we first came to South Carolina and when you compare them to the pictures of this year it makes me a little sad...What happened to my little baby? When I asked Justin where my baby went, his answer was that he is the big boy now and Brady can be the baby. So sad! Where does the time go?

What can I say you are a funny boy, and as smart as a whip! You are wiser that you should be for five years old. I want you to know that I am so happy that we are getting this opportunity to spend so much time together before you go off to school. Kindergarten, its so hard to believe that you are going to "big boy school". If I could I would keep you just as you are. I love you with all my heart. Brady....
My sweet baby boy! I can't explain what a terrific baby he is and has been right from the start. I have been so lucky that he is just a laid back, low key baby. No matter where he is whether it is in the swing or just laying on a blanket on the floor he is content. He has grown so much already and although I have gotten to enjoy every minute of it, it still makes me kind of sad. I know for sure he is the last of the "Gallihugh Boys" and I hate the idea of not keeping my little baby. I am grateful that I have gotten to stay home with him and would not trade it for the world. I love you my sweet baby boy!!!

A Week On Our Own!

So this week Brandon had a business trip to New Orleans which left me and the boys flying solo. I was a little nervous because Brandon is a huge help. We did great...The week was centered around ways to keep Justin busy. On Tuesday we went to the Fun Zone which is an inside play place with tons of cool inflatables. This trip included R.J. and Reilly our neighbors who Justin loves to play with. One Wednesday we went to our favorite place where the workers now know me by name...Chuck E. Cheese. Today we went to the Riverbank Zoo with some friends. It has been a fun week. Justin has helped me with Brady as much as he could. So I guess I will call it a success, but we will be happy when our Daddy comes home.

Easter Sunday

So we decided this year to have the egg hunt with the kids in our neighborhood that Justin plays with on a regular basis and boy did they have fun....They were not as good at finding the eggs as I thought. They walked by the ones that were right in front of their faces. I posted a few pictures, so check out the fun. Brady's first Easter was uneventful, but he did look so cute in his little bunny suit. So I Am A Slacker!

OK I know I am a slacker and have not posted any pictures or entries on the blog in awhile. I was a little depressed because I was suppose to be returning to work yesterday but.....after much thought and consideration we decided I would be best suited at home with the boys. YEAH!!!! Its not the work I cared about but leaving Brady was breaking my heart. Even giving up the two days I had extra with Justin was killing me. Justin and I had gotten a routine and we did so many fun things. I am going back to work at Chili's a few nights a week but most of my time will be with my boys! Stay tuned for fun posts about all our exciting adventures.....

So since the weather was good today, we decided a trip to the zoo was in order. I know we live at the zoo. Since we are members it's free and we are most certainly on a budget. Anyway we went there to see the baby giraffe and he was not out. Apparently 75 is too cold for him.....go figure!!!

When I decided to have another baby I was super nervous, not for me but for Justin. I wanted him to know how loved he was and was afraid he would feel jealous or like he was being replaced. I wanted him to know that he would always be my baby and I love him with all of my heart. I have been so happy to see how much Justin truly loves being a big brother. He loves Brady and has been so sweet right from the beginning. Happy Valentines Day to both "My Boys"-Love Mommy!

It is still amazing to me that we can go to the zoo in the middle of winter. It is Febuary 8th and it was 75 degrees today. We took the boys to the zoo and it was nice to be outside getting some fresh air.

Brady is still trying to get used to his bath time. He is not sure if he likes it or not. He fusses for awhile then I think he realizes the water is nice and warm. Either way he is just plain cute. Take notice of Big Brother Justin helping in the background of the picture. He is a great help and will run and get us anything we forget. I am truly blessed by having these sweet boys in my life.

Today was the Monster Jam show at the Colonial Center. It was tons of fun. We were able to go early with the pit pass and see the trucks up close. I think that they were bigger than Justin thought they would be. It was also much louder than we expected.

Yesterday was a fun day for Justin. Since he is staying home with Mom and Brady on Tuesdays and Thursdays until my maternity leave is over we want to get out and do some fun stuff while we can. So yesterday we went to Frankie's Fun Park. We had a great time while Brady napped the entire time.

Two weeks old today!

I can't believe that Brady is actually two weeks old today. Time flys and I don't want to miss any of it. He is such a good baby, he actually sleeps until about 3 or 4 am before he wakes to eat and goes back to sleep for a good 3 or 4 hours. He is a good baby and a great sleeper. (Gosh I hope I didn't jinx myself).

Welcome Home Baby Brady!
Well the day finally came and Brady is now an official member of "The Gallihugh Family."
He was born January 15th 2009 at 11:58am. He is (or I should say was) 7lbs. 4ozs. he is now 6lbs. 15 ozs. The doctors all told me I was going to have this big baby and I have this little peanut. I swear I don't remember Justin ever being so tiny. Brady joined us after an intense labor but minimal pushing 25 minutes and he was here. I couldn't be happier that all my boys are now under one roof.

Amnio Day

Today was the day of my Amnio, and it was as bad as I thought it would be. It really was not as painful as I thought it was going to be but it was as scary. I almost passed out, I think just because of the anticipation. It's over with now and now I just have to wait...Please Brady be ready because we are ready for you.

Tooth number 2 has fallen out and this one we have. Thank Goodness. He looks so cute and his little voice sounds different because the teeth are missing in the front. We need to make sure that we remember to put the money under the pillow. Tomorrow I will post a picture.

Tonight Justin said the cutest thing and god only knows how much I wish it were possible. He was saying that he was ready for baby Brady to come out now. When I told him it wasn't time yet he said "Maybe we can poof him out or wish him out". Not possible but it would be so nice. He has the right idea.

The Tooth Fairy

So we all know I have not been sleeping so at 2 am this morning I was downstairs on the computer trying to get sleepy and Justin came wandering down and wanted to check and see if the tooth fairy had come yet. So we trucked back upstairs and luckily she had come right after he had fallen asleep and he was content enough to go back to sleep.
